f. HUD’s Initial Report (08/19/2024) HUD will review the result of the claims review prior to the issuance of a report. After completion of the reviews, HUD will issue the initial report identifying: • any discrepancies resulting from inaccuracies, omissions, missed time requirements, or unsupported claim information; IV. CLAIMS AND DISPOSITION A. Title II Claims 5. Post-claim Reviews Handbook 4000.1 1627 Last Revised: 11/26/2025 • the Mortgagee’s potential liability (potential amount owed); and • whether or not the Mortgagee is in compliance with HUD’s claim filing guidelines. The Mortgagee’s potential liability is the greater of: • the actual monetary errors found; or • the lower limit of the statistical projection of monetary errors owed to HUD based on a confidence interval of 95%.
