5. Encroachments Change Date March 28, 2019 • This chapter has been revised in its entirety. a. Encroachments The appraiser must report any apparent encroachments of the subject’s dwelling, garage, or other improvements onto an adjacent property, right-of- way, utility easement, or building restriction line and any apparent encroachments of a neighboring dwelling, garage, or other improvements onto the subject property. b. Prompt Notification The appraiser must notify the lender of the encroachment promptly to provide as much time as possible to resolve the issue.
